Support

A real person reads every message. We aim to write back within two business days.

the short version

Email support@slatesoflife.com and we’ll write back. There’s no ticket queue, no chatbot, no help-center maze — just a person on the other end. If you’re reporting something urgent (abuse, a security concern), say so in the subject line and we’ll look at it first.

a quick guide before you write

Most things in Slates have a quiet, in-app way to handle them. If one of these covers what you need, you can probably skip the email:

  • Report something in a circle. Long-press any drop, note, or reply — you’ll see a quiet “report” action. Reports come straight to us and we commit to reviewing them within 24 hours.
  • Block someone. Tap their avatar to open the member sheet, then tap “block this person.” You won’t see them anywhere in the app, and they won’t see you.
  • Leave a circle. Open the circle, tap the three-dots menu, then “leave circle.” If you’re the creator, ownership passes to the next-oldest member.
  • Rename your solo space. Open it, tap the menu, edit the name. The default is “my pages” but it’s yours to call whatever you want.
  • Change your name, tagline, or avatar. Tap your avatar in the top corner of the home grid to open your profile.

delete your account

Open your profile, go to Privacy & account, then choose “delete account.” You can also email support@slatesoflife.com with the subject “delete my account.” We’ll confirm email requests within two business days and remove your account, your content, and your media within 30 days.

something’s broken

If the app is crashing, hanging, or doing something it clearly shouldn’t, send us an email with:

  • what you were trying to do;
  • what happened instead;
  • your device (iPhone model, iOS version) and the Slates version (Settings → About in the app);
  • a screenshot or screen recording if you can grab one.

That’s usually enough for us to find the problem quickly. If we need anything else we’ll write back and ask.

a question about how something works

Slates is small and a little opinionated — if something feels confusing or you can’t find an option you expected, it’s likely a real design question, not a missing feature you should hunt for. Email us and we’ll explain (and quietly note it as feedback for the next version).

privacy and data requests

See the privacy page for what we collect, what we don’t, and your rights (access, deletion, correction, export). To exercise any of them, email support@slatesoflife.com and we’ll handle it within a few days.

a security concern

If you’ve found a vulnerability, email support@slatesoflife.com with “security” in the subject line. We’ll acknowledge within 24 hours and work with you on coordinated disclosure.
